Cookies
We use cookies (small text files stored on your device) to keep the website working properly, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. See Section 7 for details and for how to manage them.
2. Newsletter and Consent
Our newsletter works on a double opt-in basis: after you enter your email address, we send you a confirmation message, and you are subscribed only once you confirm. To evidence your consent as required by law, we record the date, time and IP address of your sign-up and confirmation.
Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us at the contact details in Section 12; we will stop the mailing promptly.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries and prepare quotations for PVD coating services
- To process and fulfil orders and service requests, and to keep you informed of order status
- To send our newsletter and occasional updates — only where you have opted in
- To operate, secure and improve the website and our services
- To maintain business records and comply with legal obligations, including tax and invoicing requirements
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents
We rely on your consent (for example, for the newsletter) and on legitimate business and legal grounds recognised under the DPDP Act (for example, responding to an enquiry you initiate, or retaining invoices as required by tax law).
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:
- Service providers: with trusted third parties who help us run the business — such as website hosting, IT support, email delivery and courier or logistics partners — and only to the extent needed for them to perform their services.
- Legal requirements: where disclosure is required by law, court order or a government authority.
- Business transfers: if Motif PVD Coatings is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- With your consent: in any other case, only after obtaining your permission.
5. Where Your Data Is Stored
The website is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure that may be located outside India (currently in the European Union). Wherever your data is processed, we apply the safeguards described in this policy, and transfers are made in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.
6. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limiting who within our organisation can view personal data, and logging of administrative access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work to protect your data, we cannot promise absolute security.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, invoicing and tax records). When it is no longer needed, we delete it securely or anonymise it.
